Cheryl admits Bear is banned from Greatest Dancer but could follow Liam Payne’s footsteps – Mirror Online

Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl, 36, has opened up about juggling motherhood as a single parent and admitted that she often leaves two-year-old Bear at home when she works on a live set.

The Fight For This Love hitmaker confessed that she find it too 'hard' to be both a mother and 'the best dance captain' ahead of BBC dance competition The Greatest Dancer's live show schedule.

The TV judge said that while her two year old tot loves the show and even has twinkle toes of his own, the best place for him to enjoy the show is from their sofa at home.

The Geordie beauty also hinted at her son Bear's stardom potential which wouldn't come as a surprise due to his superstar mum and fellow global pop sensation dad Liam Payne, 26.

Cheryl spoke about her responsibilities as a parent in an interview with The Sun's TV mag, where she branded live shows as 'stressful' and explained how she is unable to 'focus' when Bear is around.

She told the magazine: "I think what I find hard...I have taken him to the odd thing, but I can't focus. I'm trying to be mother and then trying to be the best Dance Captain, and it's just impossible to be either."

The brunette bombshell attempted to explain her reason behind leaving the toddler at home as she continued: "You're half watching him and half doing your job, and I don't like that feeling.

"His best seat is on the sofa."

Cheryl shares two-year-old son Bear with ex-boyfriend and former One Direction bandmate Liam, after they dated following a spark from when they met on The X Factor.

As she gushed about her cute little Bear, Cheryl hinted that he has his own stardom potential and might follow in his dad's superstar footsteps.

She proudly told the publication: "Bear is an amazing little dancer. He's a proper little performer, he loves a round of applause."

"Can Bear sing? He has a go. I got him a karaoke machine for Christmas. He likes Let It Go and Twinkle Twinkle - and Yummy is his new favourite."

The Geordie lass's gushing over Bear's talents and explanation of why she keeps her little one away from The Greatest Dancer comes after she admitted she is considering getting a sperm donor to have a sibling for her son.

She previously said: "If time was on my side and I was in my twenties, yeah, I would wait and consider more options, or wait for somebody I felt was right, but...

"You could meet somebody and for that year it feels incredible, but there is never a guarantee because there are so many variables that can happen. Life is a funny old game."

However, Cheryl has a busy schedule at the moment as she has just announced her first live performance almost one year on from the last time she was seen on stage.

The former Girls Aloud singer will be headlining the Mighty Hoopla festival which is taking place in Brockwell Park, London, on June 6.

The Geordie stunner is currently a coach on The Greatest Dancer but has struggled to maintain her music career after her comeback flop last year.
