Chicago Med season 5, episode 17 synopsis and promo: The Ghosts of the Past – One Chicago Center

The historic 100th episode ofChicago Med will put one couple through the wringer, while other doctors and nurses continue to flourish in their relationships.

According to the synopsis and promo that NBC has released, Wednesdays installment, The Ghosts of the Past not only brings everyone together, but could tear some apart in the end.

The promotional trailer starts out with April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) touching her head as her fianc, Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) asks if shes alright. The next few seconds proceed to show April clutching her stomach, doubling over in extreme pain.

Thank goodness Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) rushes to her aid and gets her into a hospital bed. There is where it looks like Dr. Hannah Asher (recurring guest star Jessy Schram) evaluates April, which implies that its something to do with their IVF treatments and baby progress.

Speaking of Hannah and Will, the two are also featured heavily within the episodes trailer, as Hannah tells Will: You gave me my life back. Shes referring to her stint in rehab, which fans saw play out in Who Should Be The Judge.

In a slightly surprise twist, given the negative results of their one night stand, Will asks if Hannah has plans tonight. In trueChicago Med fashion, the promo does not reveal her answer. Will the two actually make a go of things? Or will it turn into too much drama for Will?

Heres how NBC officially describes the episode:

Dr. Manning and Dr. Charles assist in a complicated case helping a child who is no stranger to the ED; Dr. Marcel and Dr. Choi tend to a police officer with a mysterious gunshot wound; Relationships are put to the test as secrets are revealed.
