Dozens of families from all over the country will gather Saturday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the local Snowflakes Embryo Adoption program.

The anniversary festivities will include several presentations from 11 a.m. to noon at Fairgrounds Park Pavilion No. 2, 700 S. Railroad Ave.

According to organizers, more than 500 births have resulted from the program through the donation of frozen embryos. Some families will be meeting the families of their donated embryos for the first time at the reunion.

Among the speakers planned at the event is 18-year old Hannah Streg, the program's first Snowflake Baby, who has been described as "wise beyond her years," in a press release by publicist Mary Parra of Orca Communications.

The event will consist of various other speakers from within the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption program as attendees enjoy lunch.

There will also be two rounds of games and activities provided for children attending the event.
