PACC waives adoption fees – KVOA | KVOA.com | Tucson, Arizona – KVOA Tucson News

Tucson -With this extreme heat, Pima Animal Care Center is waiving adoption fees through Wednesdayin order to find more than 500 pets homes.

"Folks whose pets aren't spayed and neutered have babies, so we're getting dozens of orphaned litters every single day," said Karen Hollish.

A couple of years ago PACC set up a tent to house more pets, but now the tents filling up and creating challenging conditions.

"Because of the conditions right now, we're really trying to limit the number of dogs in the tent. We have extra AC units and extra power so we can keep it as cool as possible," said Hollish.

Diana Nussberger, managed to brave the heat and make a visit to PACC to find a new companion for her family. She hopes other animal lovers will do the same.

"There's many dogs here and I know they make good family members," said Nussberger.

To adopt or volunteer, visit their Silverbell location or PACC's website here.
