Discounted cat adoption fees offered at overloaded Philly shelter –

Philadelphias city-contracted animal shelter is overloaded with kittens and cats, and is offering discounted fees to alleviate overcrowding.

In the last week, Animal Care and Control Team (ACCT) received 343 cats, including 115 surrendered pets.

We are trying to get the word out that we are full and to avoid surrendering if at all possible, said ACCT Philly spokeswoman Ame Dorminy.

Until Tuesday, adoptions fees are half off for adult cats and kittens.
